Victims self-refer through the 24-hour crisis hotline- 605-692-SAFE (7233) - or they are referred by police, counselors, physicians, social services, churches, friends and family, etc.
ALL Services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

Shelter Services:
- Crisis Intervention: Provides direct services to victims of family violence, sexual assault and stalking including:
- Immediate 24-hour shelter and crisis hotline
- Legal advocacy: assistance in obtaining protection/stalking orders
- Rape crisis counseling/emergency medical and legal advocacy
- Weekly support group for women
- Referral services: assistance in accessing community resources, i.e., housing employment, financial needs...
- Public education and outreach
- Information packets
- clothing/diapers/food
- limited financial assistance
